Description
Introduction
Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) have become one of the fastest-growing investment vehicles globally, offering investors transparent, liquid and cost-efficient market access.
This training provides a complete and practical overview of the ETF lifecycle—from initial structuring to day-to-day operations, trading considerations, and ongoing regulatory obligations. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how ETFs function in practice and how Luxembourg’s fund landscape shapes the setup and management of ETF products.
Objectives
This training aims to give participants a clear and practical understanding of how ETFs work, how they are set up in Luxembourg, and how they operate throughout their lifecycle. By the end, participants will be able to recognise the roles of key actors, distinguish replication methods, understand regulatory, tax and compliance requirements, and appreciate the operational and trading mechanics that ensure efficient ETF functioning.
Programme
Target Audience
The programme is intended for professionals involved in fund administration, product development, investment management, legal, compliance, risk, or operational roles, as well as service providers and others seeking a solid introduction to ETFs in the Luxembourg environment.
